Welcome Leven

All things beautiful with Leven

The opening of Scotland’s east coast railway line in the mid-19th century transformed the quiet coastal village of Leven into a bustling seaside resort. Almost 200 years later, Leven’s safe, sandy beaches, fun-packed promenade, excellent leisure facilities and first-class golf courses are ensuring visitors and locals alike continue to flock to Leven.

With the Firth of Forth lapping onto Leven’s beachfront, it’s very tempting to stay by the water’s edge, watching everything from fishing boats to gigantic tankers sail by. However, step away from Leven’s fabulous views of the Forth and beyond to discover a thriving town with an excellent choice of shops, cafés, restaurants, pubs, an art-deco cinema – and much more.

For family fun, woodland walks and, if required, peace and quiet, head to Silverburn Park or Letham Glen and let the greenery, fresh air and open spaces boost your sense of wellbeing. For swimming, gym work-outs and sports facilities, Levenmouth Swimming Pool and Sports Centre is the place to be – and it’s right on the promenade so you can’t miss it.

With the Home of Golf only a 30-minute drive away, there’s no shortage of choice for golfers, including Leven Links, one of several Open Qualifying Courses in this corner of Fife, and the Fife-themed crazy golf courses at Together Levenmouth Community Hub.
